Corrections Policy
Our commitment to accuracy and how we handle reported errors
Our Commitment to Accuracy
Peptpedia is committed to providing accurate, evidence-based information on research peptides. Despite our review process — which includes medical review and editorial oversight — errors can occur. When they do, we correct them promptly and transparently.
We believe that honest correction of errors is a core part of scientific integrity. We welcome reports of factual inaccuracies, outdated citations, mischaracterized study findings, or incorrect molecular data.
What We Correct
We review and correct reports of:
- Factual errors — Incorrect molecular formulas, CAS numbers, sequences, half-life values, or other verifiable data points
- Mischaracterized research findings — Cases where study conclusions are misstated, overstated, or taken out of context
- Incorrect citations — Wrong authors, journal names, years, DOIs, or PubMed IDs
- Outdated information — Research status ratings or descriptions that do not reflect current published evidence
- Typographical errors — Spelling or formatting errors that affect meaning or readability
We do not alter previously published content for reasons unrelated to accuracy (e.g., to favor particular vendors, research groups, or commercial interests).
How to Report an Error
To report a factual error, please contact us with the following information:
- The URL of the page containing the error
- A description of the specific error (quote the incorrect text if possible)
- A correction with supporting evidence — ideally a PubMed ID, DOI, or direct link to the primary source that supports the correct information
Reports can be submitted via email to: corrections@peptpedia.org
Reports without supporting sources will be reviewed but may take longer to resolve, as our team will need to independently verify the claim.
Our Review and Response Timeline
We aim to acknowledge all correction reports within 5 business days.
Acknowledgment of receipt and initial review to determine if the report is within scope
Editorial and medical review of the reported issue against the primary sources
Complex corrections requiring full re-review of a section or page may take up to 30 days
Confirmed corrections are applied to the page, the "Last updated" date is revised, and the corrected content is re-reviewed by the Medical Review Board before republication.
Correction Transparency
When a significant factual correction is made to a peptide profile or research article, we note the nature of the correction and the date it was applied in the page's update history. Minor editorial corrections (spelling, punctuation, formatting) are applied without separate notation.
We do not silently remove content that was corrected. Where a correction materially changes a finding or interpretation, we explain what was changed and why.
